No summary mail when an order is placed?

I did a test order on my site, everything is fine until the end, but is it normal not to receive an email summary and the owner of the shop not receive the mail of the order placed?

Our system does not send e-mail automatically. You must send an e-mail yourself to your customers when they make an order in your site and you must log in to your administration to see if you have received new sales.
